The current Auxiliary Markings Catalog (Record) was compiled by Nancy Clark and Thomas Fortunato and is copyright (C) 2005-2025 by the Auxiliary Markings Club. The club is currently seeing to develop a more comprehensive and accessible auxiliary markings catalog and welcomes the participation of club members. We also know that many more markings exist, please email scans of any additional markings or corrections to:

FULL Listings (in categorical order)
The FULL Auxiliary Markings Record (sample below) has 14 columns of information in an Excel spreadsheet download).
- 1 identifies the Type code assigned to the marking
- 2 Auxiliary Marking Description, is the text on (or description of) the marking
- 3 is the marking's Country of origin.
- 4 and 5 are the Earliest Known Use (EKU) and Latest Known Use (LKU) dates for the marking.
- 6 is the Color of the marking.
- 7 is the Type of application used for the marking.
- 8 is the Serif / Sans Serif font of the marking.
- 9 is the Right or Left direction of the pointing hand (if present) on the marking.
- 10 and 11 are the From (origin) and To (destination) cities on the envelope.
- 12 is Notes about the marking
- 13 is the Reporter of the marking
- 14 is the Image (if any) of the marking scanned at 100 dots per inch. Click on the image to view the high resolution scan scanned at 300 dots per inch. The top row of the table shows a one inch ruler for size reference (unless the image is noted as being at another scale).
